Tory Tiger Explaining Insurance Policy
"HO-4, a.k.a. the Renter’s Insurance Special! This one’s for you cool kids who don’t own the castle but still wanna protect your treasure inside. Your landlord’s got the building covered, but your sweet gaming rig? That’s where HO-4 steps in like, 'Don’t worry, bro, I got your stuff.' Fire? Theft? Angry ex throwing your clothes out the window? Covered, covered, and *probably* covered. Think of it as a security blanket for all your precious junk, minus the commitment of owning a house."

The HO-4 form, commonly known as renters insurance, is designed for tenants. It covers personal property against named perils like fire, theft, and vandalism, and includes liability coverage for bodily injury or property damage caused by the insured. HO-4 also provides additional living expenses if the rental becomes uninhabitable due to a covered loss. It does not cover the structure of the building, as that is the landlord's responsibility.
