Public Adjuster - Atlanta, Georgia
Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Public Adjuster to join an emerging franchise in Atlanta Georgia. On a daily basis, you’ll handle and process insurance claims. You’ll examine property damages and physical injuries to calculate claim liability. You’ll achieve this by gathering information from various sources, for example, through interviewing claimants, witnesses, or specialists (e.g. policyholders, physicians, or engineers). To succeed in this role, you must have strong analytical thinking and excellent writing skills.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect properties and document physical damage / loss via photos, videos, 2D or 3D sketches / measurements
- Analyze insurance policies looking for ambiguities, conflicts and errors
- Prepare and create loss estimates using Xactimate
- If needed, conduct material tests
- If needed, Consult with specialists (e.g. general contractors, engineers)
- Calculate insurance policy benefits and payments
- Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers
- Support attorneys to defend a claim in case of contestation
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience as a Public Adjuster, with a deep understanding of claims processes and negotiations.
- Reliability & Trustworthiness: You are dependable, honest, and committed to providing excellent service to clients.
- Entrepreneurial Spirit: You have a passion for growing a business and are motivated by the opportunity within a franchise office.
- Sales Skills: You are skilled at identifying and capitalizing on sales opportunities, with a track record of driving growth and business development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to build rapport quickly.
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team.
- Comfortable using CRM tools or similar platforms to track and manage outreach efforts.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- High School diploma coupled with experience (allowed). Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred).
- Public Adjuster license for the state of Georgia
